Dan Mangan’s new video for “Post War Blues”. A Dr. Strangelove homage starring Don McKellar.
aww bless. subtle as a brick.
aaaaah my ears. aaaaaaah my eyes. discooooooooo.
WHOAAAAA first time watching this video in its entirety. digging this lungi + sneakers + drouzer look. how busy is this video goddamn! the entire thing is obnoxious in a south indian sort of way.
i remember when this video was a thing. like a solid conversation piece. points of discussion included:
- whoa they can do this selective colour thing now?
- whoa did that camera go through the window in the end?
- why is that chick eating an apple at this industrial dance party?
- did that piece of music before the third verse sound like the one from donkey kong country (coral capers or snow barrel blast, forget which exactly)?
all in the ghetto, riz mc

If this track doesn’t give you a smile (even just as a movie reference) you DON’T EVEN DESERVE THIS FRIDAY
